What would you like to find on this wiki that you couldn't?
Using the seacrh box above is a good way to scan information by key word......

I'd be interested in hearing suggestions about how to "work with families in creative ways to support the program in any way they can while getting fees from those that can afford it". Also, I've found that since we don't have a scholarship application process it isn't always the people who can't pay who don't. How do other programs handle these situations? We haven't turned any students away but I have had parents express anger that "Once again it's the families who can afford to pay who are supporting those who can't."

sliding scales
volunteering time instead of money?
Emanuel is against scholarship applications-I think this puts upanother barrier; perhaps they could be called "free slots" or some other phrase that does not imply a laborious paper intensive process

I'm not in favor of an application either and I like the idea of sliding scales. Volunteering time instead of paying sounds like a good idea but since we require everybody who works with kids to be background and fingerprint checked, it would cost us money instead of saving it.
