GO-350 Online Game Contest is open until Sept 30 for Vermont students. Mississquoi Valley High School After-School program is preparing to announce to their students and parents this week. With time so short, we wanted to invite everyone to be aware. For more info, see Gaming Olympiad.

9/15/09: 21C Grant Competition is open!


A copy of a letter being sent out perspective grantees with applicant training locations is at competition letter signed by the Commissioner of Education.


Applicant trainings are scheduled for October 9th and 16th, 2009. Letters of Intent are due November 20th, 2009. Applications are due February 12th, 2010.

8/09: Individualized System for Supporting Afterschool Programs (ISS-AP)


 ISS-AP is a newly formed strategy, created in partnership with the Vermont Center for Afterschool Excellence and funded by the Vermont Department of Education, to provide consultation services, technical assistance, and professional development opportunities to afterschool programs throughout the state of Vermont.  The purpose of ISS-AP is to create systemic change within afterschool programs for continued growth.   Questions regarding ISS-AP services should be directed to Lynne Feal-Staub or Holly Morehouse (contact information below).

This course engages students in an exploration of the growing field of afterschool age care and education. This course provides students with an understanding of the history of the afterschool field and examines the skills and training that are needed to successfully develop and administer high-quality programming in afterschool settings.
