Happy January! I will be developing a contract to update Filemaker to V 11 soon. Assuming this goes through, the major upgrades will include an integrated class list feature, more fields for various information, and a few updated reports. if you have ideas, and/or would like to be on a testing group let me know. The idea is to have a better product that will serve the field better for the next several years. Now is the chance to weigh in. The idea will still be to 'keep it simple."

http://y4y.ed.gov/ This rich website was recently released by USDOE and has 30 minute course modules that can be taken anytime. It seems really well designed and programs in other states including NH have reported it to be valuable. In particular the model lends itself to some self directed staff training.
