Welcome to the Afterschool Wiki!

http://www.cvswmd.org/resources-for-teachers.html  I observed an exciting lesson/ partnership at Hardwick this week where kids were learning about and building a worm composting system.  The staff person was from the Central Vermont Solid Waste District, of all places.  (Only one in the state with this position)  A really great entry point for science! Everyone could have composting systems!  I love my compost at home, especially figuring out how to make it work better.  These are fun engaging projects to consider year round if you are not composting on site.

to meet with state legislators and leaders to advance learning and policy around afterschool and expanded learning in Vermont. This is also a day to celebrate the important role that youth workers, afterschool providers, and program staff play in helping to build a strong foundation for the children and youth of Vermont. Come celebrate with us!
